Mardès, a house of publishing, culture, and transmission
Mardès is an inclusive and modern house that edits poetry collections, essays, magazines, and works on the art of living. It also creates cultural and artistic events that foster reflection and sharing.
Its mission is twofold: to edit and to transmit — transmitting poetry, thought, and the gestures of daily life that ease existence and enrich sensitivity.
Through its support, several Musarthis contents remain freely available, affirming a generous and elegant vision of culture.
This article is offered freely, with the support of Mardès, Swiss publishing and cultural house, and Marlena’s Code, Swiss house of elegance and poetic high perfumery.
There are places where one feels good almost immediately, without always being able to name what draws us in. Welcoming places, inhabited by a discreet human poetry, where the presence of others, the quality of the welcome, and the simplicity of gestures compose a singular atmosphere.
Le Café du Coin, in La Chaux-de-Fonds, belongs to this sensitive geography. Here, one is served with a smile as well. The welcome is attentive, close to people’s needs, with that unostentatious elegance that makes the experience naturally pleasant.
The owner, Andreas Kurz, a young man with an energetic presence, watches over the smooth running of the place, both a café and a wine bar. Always dressed in his smile, he readily meets the customers, asking for their impressions and making sure the moment keeps all its softness.
Le Café du Coin is one of those addresses of intimate Switzerland where people come to share a drink, meet friends, converse, observe the city, or simply enjoy the pleasure of being there. The menu offers a fine selection of wines, several caffeinated drinks, as well as delicious homemade pastries.
We encountered a variety of profiles there, including art and culture lovers. Once, a conversation with a former professor turned into a passionate debate on the origin of Pythagoras’ theorem. An unexpected, almost delightful scene, which reveals the nature of the place: exchanges circulate freely there, between erudition, spontaneity, and the pleasure of encounter.
A reading corner completes this atmosphere. There, one can discover magazines, various publications, as well as cultural initiatives or projects devoted to well-being. Reading, curiosity, and discovery thus find their place at the heart of this conviviality.
On his own scale, the owner acts as a true ally of regional creation. Artists can present their works there, while the walls and spaces host announcements dedicated to cultural projects in La Chaux-de-Fonds and its surroundings.
Le Café du Coin thus bears its name with delightful accuracy. Poetically welcoming, subtly alive, it accompanies encounters and offers a pause full of humanity.
A place of daily Poecaris, where encounters, conversations, art, reading, and simple gestures give life in La Chaux-de-Fonds a deeply human poetry.
