Mardès, a house of publishing, culture, and transmission
Mardès is an inclusive and modern house that edits poetry collections, essays, magazines, and works on the art of living. It also creates cultural and artistic events that foster reflection and sharing.
Its mission is twofold: to edit and to transmit — transmitting poetry, thought, and the gestures of daily life that ease existence and enrich sensitivity.
Through its support, several Musarthis contents remain freely available, affirming a generous and elegant vision of culture.

This article is offered freely, with the support of Mardès, Swiss publishing and cultural house, and Marlena’s Code, Swiss house of elegance and poetic high perfumery.

At daybreak, the Swiss shores breathe a rare kind of calm. A pale light glides over the water, the mountains draw a gentle line on the horizon, and footsteps naturally begin to slow. A walk along the edge of a lake brings an immediate feeling of freedom, far from hurried rhythms and streets saturated with noise.

What if we wandered along the lakeshores…

Swiss lakeshores possess a rare elegance. From the very first steps, the water soothes the mind, the mountains widen the gaze, and the fresh air lightens one’s thoughts. A walk along a lake offers an immediate feeling of escape.

In Geneva, Lake Geneva accompanies wanderers between gardens, sailboats and quays bathed in light. Those familiar with the city will naturally think of Quai Gustave-Ador and the Jet d’Eau. Lausanne cultivates a gentle atmosphere, carried by vineyards and peaceful harbours. A few kilometres facing the lake are enough to rediscover a calmer rhythm.

Lucerne, for its part, reveals a spectacular setting where turquoise water meets Alpine peaks, while in Zurich, the lakeside blends nature and urban refinement in astonishing harmony. And let us not forget Montreux, which extends this interlude with its flower-lined quays and beautiful villas embracing the small waves.

How could one not admit that the calm movement of the waves brings a form of serenity difficult to find elsewhere? In Lugano, palm trees and terraces recall Mediterranean shores. This diversity makes Swiss lakes far more than a setting: a permanent invitation to calm, contemplation and inner travel. And, as a bonus, a magnificent view of the mountains in most cases. Enjoy your lakeside walk.
